The Germans took over the factory in May of 1940 when production was in the 46000 range. Obviously FN was making Hi Powers and delivering them to the Belgian military. Two more have sold at RIA in the past year and one has sold on GB within the last year. I have a Hi Power that is Belgian Military marked that is in the Finnish range. The book says that they were made in 1940. This shipment occurred in February and March of 1940. The Finnish contract is 2400- pistols and will be found in the 11000 - 15000 serial number range.
Well, the P9 marking contention is interesting and is wrong based on the facts and an understanding of the production process.
"H" in a circle, "C" in a hexagon, and "C" in a square. Well, there were three Belgian military markings.
